On July 11,2018, the unveiling ceremony of Institute of China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone on the Zhoushan Campus (Ocean College, Zhejiang University). Dr. Wang Lizhong, member of Zhejiang University’s Standing Committee and Dean of the Ocean College, and Dr. Huang Xianhai, Dean of the School of Economics, Zhejiang University, jointly unveiled the name board.
The Institute of China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone formally established on October 24, 2017, was organized by Zhejiang University and Zhejiang Ocean University. As an important part of the research and practice of the Free Trade Zone, port and shipping logistics, maritime policies, and green ports are the key directions for the development of ocean social sciences at Ocean College. The listing of the Institute at Ocean College will not only provide a solid research base for Zhejiang University, but also leverage the strength of the Ocean College to further enhance the Institute's ability to serve the localities.
After the signing ceremony, Ocean College and the School of Economics also discussed the strategic cooperation in the near future.
