The Annual Conference of Financial Street Forum 2022 was held from 21-23 November, 2022 in Beijing, themed “Embrace the Future with Vigorous Endeavor: Economic Development and Financial Cooperation Amid Changes”, of which sub-topic is “Energy security and green economy”. The Annual Conference is co-organized by the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, the People’s Bank of China, the Xinhua News Agency, the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.

     Professor Paul Tae-Woo LEE addressed a speech entitled “How to promote Green Corridors along the Belt and Road in conjunction with the 27th Congress of the Parties (COP)27?”  His topic focused on “Financial Support for Energy Security and Green Economy” to facilitate exchanges and mutual learning, and enhance consensus. 

  As this marks the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Financial Street’s commencement and development, the conference included the opening ceremony & plenary session (themed on the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Financial Street), the main forum, four parallel forums as “Real Economy and Financial Services” “Global Markets and Financial Development” “Financial Technology and Digital Economy”, and “Governance System and Financial Stability”, the closing ceremony & special events of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Beijing Financial Street, and a series of thematic events such as Financial Street Release, all of which were aimed to build consensus, deepen international cooperation, and promote mutual development. The whole conference was covered by domestic and foreign media.
