Scopus, the world’s largest abstract and citation database, has developed a publicly accessible resource of top-cited scientists, providing standardized metrics such as citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, authorship position citations, and a composite indicator (c-score). Separate datasets are available for both career-long and single-year impact. These metrics are presented with and without self-citations, and include the ratio of citations to citing papers. The most recent iteration also incorporates data on retracted papers from the Retraction Watch database, as well as citations to and from those retracted papers.
